We are looking for experienced Proposal and Bid Specialist who will be responsible for managing the RFPs, the bidding process for multiple projects of varying nature, size and value, including both commercial and technical aspects of the contracts. This role will work under the guidance of other senior commercial staff and in close collaboration with relevant design, technical & engineering teams, studies and understands the requirements of prospective customers and positions company’s design solutions as the best offerings, both technically and commercially.

Our ideal candidate should:

Identify the project scope of work with the clients and prepare fee proposals/sales cycle that addresses prospective customers’ needs and expectations.

Source and liaise with possible sub-consultants for projects which may include a sub-consultant scope, including sending RFP’s to the sub-consultants, clarifying queries, reviewing, analysing the scope and fees received from sub-consultants.

Review and respond effectively to RFPs addressing prospective customers’ requirements in the most compelling way, presenting company’s landscape design products and services in the best light and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle.

Evaluate Cracknell’s fees for services and liaise with Design Directors to discuss the fees and commercial terms of the proposals, incorporating the comments received from the Directors into the final fee proposal document to be issued to the clients.

Respond to any post-tender clarifications and queries from the clients and prepare revisions to fee proposals and submitted tenders based on clients’ requirements.

Prepare change requests for current ongoing projects for variations to the scope of work from the originally agreed scope of the contract, as required.

Technical Competencies

Ability to leverage on strong technical knowledge, sales, and negotiation skills to understand clients’ needs.

Good technical communication and reporting skills including reading, writing and interpretation of technical documentation, RFPs, specifications, reports, proposals, technical briefs, contracts, and tender documents.

Ability to use awareness of current market conditions and industry trends, good knowledge and consideration of local tax and regulatory implications on project cost for project costing and fee proposals.

Advanced MS Excel (Vlookup, Pivot), AutoCAD knowledge (open drawings, check dimensions), Indesign knowledge is an added advantage (to build fee proposals).

Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture/Architecture/Engineering/Quantity Survey,

Years of Experience : 5 - 8 years in Design, Project Management, Engineering Consultancies,

Regional experience - UAE/GCC,

Language : High proficiency in spoken and written English.
