Wakame is a highly regarded fine dining restaurant located in Sofitel Dubai Downtown. Taking inspiration from Tokia’s Ginza district to the foodie capital of Chengdu and from the mountains of Nepal to the street food of Colombo, Wakame’s flavors span the far east. We are looking for an experienced Waiter/Waitress who is ready to join our team.



Responsibilities



Greet and escort customers to their tables

Present menu and share information about dishes where required (e.g. portions, ingredients or potential food allergies, etc.)

Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses

Clean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies

Inform customers about the specials

Offer menu recommendations upon request

Up-sell additional products when appropriate

Take accurate food and drinks orders

Record transactions in the MICROS system correctly and timely

Qualifications



2 years of experience working in a Japanese restaurant

Effectively communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff

Maintain personal hygiene requirements at all times

Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when necessary

Great attention to detail

Previous serving experience

Serve food and drink orders

Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems

Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area

Deliver checks and collect bill payments

Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented

Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning

Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations

Follow all relevant health department regulations

Provide excellent customer service to guests

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract



Contract length: 24 months (LIMITED)



Salary: AED3,000.00 per month



Experience:



Server/Waiter/Waitress: 2 years (Required)

Japanese fine dining work experience an added advantage
