Office IT Support Specialist

Job Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:
Provide first-line technical support to end-users for hardware and software-related issues.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist with the setup, configuration, and installation of hardware and software.
Hardware Management:
Manage and maintain computer systems, laptops, printers, scanners, and other office equipment.
Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on hardware components.
Software Management:

Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
Troubleshoot software-related issues and provide guidance to end-users.
Network Management:

Configure and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure optimal performance.
Security and Data Protection:

Implement and enforce security measures to protect against unauthorized access, malware, and other threats.
Conduct regular backups of critical data and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, configurations, and licenses.
Create and update technical documentation, guides, and knowledge base articles for end-users.
User Training and Education:

Provide training sessions to educate employees on IT best practices, security awareness, and efficient use of software and tools.
Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement and support IT solutions.
Communicate effectively with end-users to understand and address their IT needs.
Stay Informed and Up-to-Date:

Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the organization remains technologically competitive.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in providing IT support and troubleshooting in an office environment.
Strong knowledge of hardware components, operating systems, and software applications.
Familiarity with networking protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in using IT management tools and software.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
