Job Description: Accountant

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with budget and closing processes. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and supporting the overall financial operations of our organization

Key Responsibilities:

◼ Maintain and update financial records for accuracy.
◼ Post daily transactions and journal entries.
◼ Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.
◼ Resolve discrepancies promptly.
◼ Assist Prepare and analyze financial statements.
◼ Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
◼ Manage accounts payable and receivable.
◼ Ensure timely processing and accuracy.
◼ Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
◼ Monitor budget performance and report variances.
◼ Ensure compliance with regulations and tax requirements.
◼ Assist in tax filings and audits.
◼ Aid in implementing new accounting systems and processes.
◼ Assist with financial analysis and special projects.

Required to that role:

◼ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
◼ 2-5 years of accounting or related experience.
◼ Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
◼ Preferably experience in Shipping sector
◼ Good problem-solving and time management skills
◼ Work under pressure.
