Job Role : Transportation Coordinator
Location : Dubai, UAE
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the company’s fleet, including vehicle scheduling, dispatching, and route planning.
- Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and driver performance.
- Maintain records of all fleet-related activities, including vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Develop and implement efficient transportation plans for the movement, coordinating with drivers, Managers, to ensure timely services.
- Utilize GPS tracking for real-time vehicle monitoring.
- Schedule regular maintenance and inspections of fleet vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition. Liaise with mechanics or maintenance contractors to ensure repairs are carried out promptly.
-Track vehicle mileage and maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and costly repairs.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with state and federal regulations, including safety inspections and emissions standards.
- Maintain updated records of vehicle registrations, insurance, and certifications. Ensure drivers adhere to company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements such as hours-of-service regulations.
- Monitor and manage fleet expenses, including fuel, repairs, and insurance.
- Representing company all the vehicle insurance, SALIK/DARB, RTA related works.
- Maintain detailed logs of fuel consumption, mileage, and vehicle utilization.
- Coordinate driver schedules, ensuring proper coverage for all routes and shifts.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding their schedules, responsibilities, and any changes.
- Monitor driver behaviour (e.g., speed, efficiency, and safety) through tracking systems or reports.
- Address driver concerns or issues related to vehicles, schedules, or performance.
- Track vehicle usage and mileage to plan for future purchases or replacements.
- Assist in procurement of new vehicles, accessories, or parts when necessary.
- Provide regular reports on fleet performance, costs, and driver performance to management.
- Recommend strategies to improve fleet productivity and reduce costs.
- Updating entire data in SAP software.
- Act as the primary point of contact in the event of vehicle breakdowns or accidents.
- Coordinate with roadside assistance, repair teams, and emergency services as needed.
- Ensure proper reporting and documentation of any incidents or accidents.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in fleet coordination, logistics, or transportation is preferred.
- Proficiency in fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with drivers, managers, and clients.
