Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Specialist to manage import and export operations within DAFZA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UAE customs regulations, proficiency in clearance systems like Mirsal II and Dubai Trade, and the ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant cargo movement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations for imports and exports, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations. Coordinate inspections with customs authorities as required.
• Handle all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, airway bills, packing lists, certificates of origin, and invoices. Ensure documents are complete and submitted promptly.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and internal departments to facilitate smooth clearance processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Utilize customs clearance platforms such as Mirsal II and Dubai Trade for processing declarations and tracking shipments.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and ensure all activities comply with current laws. Prepare regular reports on clearance activities and any encountered issues.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in customs clearance within the UAE, with a preference for experience in DAFZA.
• Proficiency in Mirsal II, Dubai Trade, and other relevant customs systems.
• Strong understanding of UAE import/export regulations and procedures.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic & Hindi is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.

This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods through DAFZA, contributing to the overall success of the logistics and supply chain operations within the free zone.
