EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUNDS & CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum Education required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Cybersecurity, or equivalent
• Professional certification such as CISSP
• Possess a solid domain competency in the field of Information Security by having eight (8) years of direct experience in a significant leadership role
EXPERIENCE
• Experience serving as a Head of Information Security, deputy role to Head of Security or have has senior cyber security responsibility working for Critical National Infrastructure (e.g., Utility or Telecom) business;
• Demonstrated knowledge of cyber industry standards and methodologies, including ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NESA, SOC2, NIST, COBIT, OWASP ASVS, CSA STAR, PCI DSS and GDPR;
• Experience in cyber audit, including NESA and PCI DSS audits. CISA or equivalent audit qualification would be desirable;
• Experience or understanding of the following areas: foot-printing, scanning/probing, access control systems, penetration testing, forensic IT investigation etc;
• Experience in managing a 3rd party partner Security Operations Centre (SOC);
• Experience in managing cloud architectures that incorporate SD-WAN and SASE based cyber security;
• Track record of success in defining and delivering Defence in Depth IT security strategy across a complex organisation with a mixture of legacy and new technology and where IT security is truly mission critical;
• Solid technical skills, comfortable overseeing cyber security architecture definition, vendor selection, tool selection/utilisation and implementation program execution;
• Functional knowledge of end-to-end cyber security policies, procedures and controls covering Risk Scenario Planning, Risk Controls, Control Assurance and Assessment & Monitoring;
• Capable technologist with a background in IT infrastructure and networks and cyber security architecture. Also proven experience leading/ overseeing teams responsible for deploying new technology and operating that technology;
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with Law Enforcement and Government Regulatory Agencies around cyber security;
• A solid understanding of security procedures and polices including IT investigations, digital forensics, eDiscovery/ Disaster recovery and business continuity management/Global IT security policies (deployment and training).
