About Dubai Duty Free

Dubai Duty Free opened its doors on December 20, 1983 and has grown over the past 34 years to become one of the world's leading airport retailers.

The founding philosophy of providing travelers with a superior shopping experience in a customer-friendly environment and a wide variety of products continues today. With around 6,000 employees, Dubai Duty Free continues to raise the bar in the airport retail industry and continues to grow.

Duty Free currently operates approximately 36,000 sqm of retail space at Dubai International Airport and 2,500 sqm of retail space at Al Maktoum International Airport, in line with major development plans in southern Dubai. It will be developed and will eventually include approximately 80,000 square meters of retail space.
