The Coop Society was established under the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs Decree No. 21/1 of 1980. We are registered in the records of the Cooperative Department at the Ministry under the name Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The registration is in accordance with Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 as amended by Federal Law No. 13 of 1976.


As a pioneer of UAE’s retail industry, The Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society’s journey started with four stores in Abu Dhabi. Over time our business flourished across the UAE with a loyal customer base. We have always put customer convenience and sustainable business practices at the top of our list.

The Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society has diversified its portfolio through its real estate division.
